5.住宿:CUHK will endeavor to place selected students in university-sponsored housing whenever possible. However, when such housing is not available, OAL will provide the students with reasonable alternatives, and will assist students as necessary. The students will be responsible for the housing cost, whether it will be on or off campus.
6.费用:No tuition will be charged to the students. They will be responsible for making their own international and domestic travel arrangements and associated costs, as well as for expenses involving housing, meals, local transportation, personal expenses, passport, visa applications, travel and medical insurance, and all other general living expenses.

附件:Summer Undergraduate Research Programme
The Chinese University of Hong Kong has established the Summer Undergraduate Research Programme (SURP) to allow undergraduate students from its overseas and non-Chinese partner universities to undertake a short-term research attachment at CUHK during the summer.
SURP is designed to enable students from all academic disciplines to develop research skills and knowledge in a chosen area of research, as well as prepare for postgraduate studies. Through participating in SURP, incoming students will spend approximately eight to ten weeks at CUHK to conduct research project under the supervision of a host supervisor.
ELIGIBILITY
a. Applicants must be registered full-time undergraduate students. Applicants who are undertaking afour-year programme should normally have completed three years of study / who are undertaking athree-year programme should normally have completed two years of study prior to participating in the programme.
b. Applicants must be in good academic standing and their applications must be supported by a host supervisor at CUHK.
c. Applicants should provide a copy of his/her latest academic transcript and one support letter from a professor at the home institution.
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
In the summer of 2014, CUHK will receive up to 60 undergraduate students for the programme. Though the programme is open to application by students from the CUHK's overseas and non-Chinese partner universities, admission rests with the host supervisors at CUHK.
PROGRAMME DATES
SURP will take place from 9 June to 15 August 2014 for approximately eight to ten weeks.
COURSE AND ACTIVITIES
CUHK's Office of Academic Links (OAL) will register the selected students in a 3-credit IASP 4091 course entitled "Independent Research on International Studies II" to carry out a project under the supervision of a host supervisor. Students' participation in the programme will be evaluated and a transcript will be issued to their home institution upon successful completion of the programme. Final decision on credit transfer will be determined by the home institution. Selected students will have the opportunities to join orientation and cultural activities organized by OAL.

APPLICATION AND SELECTION
A list of project topics and host supervisors is now available. Applicants are required to complete an online application form and provide his/her latest transcript, as well as one support letter from a professor at the home institution in the application. Application must be submitted online on or before 3 February 2014.
All proposals received will be reviewed and selected by CUHK professors. Review of proposals and final approval on admission will be determined by faculty members.
