On the afternoon of October 15th, The establishment ceremony of advanced manufacturing sub-alliance of the University Alliance of the Silk Road (UASR), presided over by Dean Chen Xuefeng, was held in the school of mechanical engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University. Lu Bingheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Xi Guang, vice president of XJTU attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Responsible persons of mechanical engineering schools from XJTU, Xinjiang University, Shihezi University, Qinghai University and Lanzhou University of Technology attended the opening ceremony. Besides, international office Director Liang Li and some other college students and teachers of XJTU presented as well.

Deans of the school of mechanical engineering from the above 5 universities jointly signed the "the University Alliance of the Silk Road (UASR)-- Advanced Manufacturing Sub-Alliance" strategic cooperation agreement which prescribes the allied units to deep cooperation in discipline construction, scientific research platform construction, major and key project application, personnel training, talent introduction, teacher qualification and so forth.
