- Prof.Hervé GUÉGUEN is Professor in Automatic Control in CentraleSupélec. He serves as vice-Dean for International Affair Rennes Campus and he is the head of Chinese Chapter in CentraleSupélec, responsible for partnerships in China. He was awarded his Ingénieur degree from Supelec in 1987 and his Doctorate from Rennes University in 1993.
His current research focuses on control of power systems and Smart Grids. He is the head of the Control team in IETR, research unit cooperated by CentraleSupelec, Rennes University and CNRS. He is member of IFAC technical committees on Hybrid Dynamical Systems and Power and Energy Systems.

CentraleSupélec co-operates 18 laboratories with major national research-centres (CNRS, INRIA, and ONERA) that host 350 faculty researchers and full time researchers participating to eight Excellence Laboratories and Equipment (State program) and collaborating with major companies’ research centres.
CentraleSupélec, a school for companies, has put new forms of collaboration in place with more than 140 partners companies. They are involved in sponsorship of problem oriented teaching sequences or research chairs. The curriculum includes many internship and specific actions are dedicated to develop Start-up technology projects.
30% of students are international students and CentraleSupelec has 180 partner universities in more than 45 countries with strong relationships in Europe, China and Brazil and more than 80 Double Degree agreements along with exchanges agreements. All Engineering students must spend at least 1 semester abroad during their program. The institution is member of the TIME and CESAER networks and takes part in the UASR initiative. 5 000 alumni (among 35 000) are working outside France and have networking activities in numerous countries including China.
CentraleSupelec has 3 campuses in France: 1 is located in Paris-Saclay, 1 in Metz ( Lorraine) and 1 in Rennes (Brittany). It is leading the Ecole Centrale Group with Ecole Centrale Lyon, Ecole Centrale Lille, Ecole Centrale Nantes and Ecole Centrale Marseille. With this group, CentraleSupelec has developed 4 campuses abroad: 1 in Beijing (China), 1 in Hyderabad (India), 1 in Casablanca (Morocco) and 1 in Mauritius.
