About the Program
“知行中国—全球青年领袖计划由中国教育国际交流协会发起，旨在推动中外青年对话、交流思想、增进友谊，加深中外青年对中国的了解，培养未来青年领导者，推动人类命运共同体建设。我校拟于2022年六月至七月举办 “知行中国—西安交大国际青年领袖营”，旨在为我校中外青年赋能，增进中外学生的交流、对话和理解，培养促进世界友好和平和可持续发展的未来领袖。活动由国际合作与交流处主办。
Zhi-Xing China: Global Young Leaders Fellowships is initiated by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) in an effort to facilitate the exchange and dialogue between the Chinese and foreign youth to strengthen the cultural understanding, enhance friendship, and cultivate the next generation leaders for a shared future for mankind. As a co-organizer, XJTU will launch the 2022 Zhi-Xing China: XJTU Global Leadership Program during June and July, aiming to engage the Chinese and international students at XJTU through empowerment programs, especially in the field of sustainable development, and eventually enhance dialogue and mutual understanding of the Chinese and international youth. The Program will be undertaken by Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, XJTU.
二、活动主题与内容
The Theme of the Program
本次活动以“数字中国与可持续发展”为主题，通过“专题讲座+实地走访+体验式学习+主题研讨”相结合的方式，展示西安地区周、秦、汉、唐历史文化古迹保护、有代表性非物质文化遗产传承、能源技术创新、陕北地区环境治理与城市可持续发展的案例与实践，鼓励中外学生开展数字化项目合作，增进文化交流，推进社会可持续发展。
The theme of the Program is ‘Digital China and Sustainable Development’. Based on lectures, fieldtrips, experiential learning and seminars, the Program will gather Chinese and international students to explore the digital media in demonstrating the sustainable development cases of Xi’an in the conservation of heritage sites from Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang dynasties, of intangible culture heritage in Xi’an, as well as of environmental protection on deserts of northern Shaanxi province. The goal of the Program is to facilitate the cultural understanding between the Chinese and international students through collaborative programs and most importantly explore the practices for social sustainable development.
活动鼓励我校优秀的中外青年学子报名参加。项目为期12天，拟在西安、宝鸡和陕北榆林实施，将以中外学生结队组成四人小组的形式开展。每组两名中国学生，两名外国学生，由一名指导教师带队。项目共设两个研究小组。各小组以文字与影像记录的方式，参与项目。学习成果以调研报告、学习和个人总结、记录图片集、短视频、Vlog等形式呈现，鼓励创新。
Both the Chinese and international students at XJTU are eligible to apply. The XJTU Global Leadership Program is a 12-day program and will tentatively place the participants in Xi’an, Baoji in central Shaanxi and Yulin in northern Shaanxi. The Chinese students will team up with international students to participate in lectures, seminars and fieldtrips, etc. Each team will comprise two Chinese students and two international students, led by a mentor. The Program will set up two research teams in total. Participants are required to present the outcomes of this program by research report, summary, photo portfolio, and vlogs or short videos, at the completion of this Program.

Day 2. The history of Qin: Terracotta Warriors Museum, Conservation Laboratory, and Mausoleum of First Emperor of China
Day 3. The history of Han: Chang’an palatial site
Day 4. The history of Tang: Qianling Mausoleum, and Famen Temple Museum
第二周：体验式学习 (6月下旬)
Week 2: Experiential learning

第三周：走访调研—文化遗产保护与可持续发展 (7月上旬)

第四周：走访调研—环境保护与可持续发展 (7月中旬)
Week 4: Fieldtrips：Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Development (before mid-July)

Day 1. Energy high tech and the urban sustainable development

四、申请条件
Eligibility
1. 品德良好，身心健康，无违法犯罪记录；
Ethical, physically and mentally healthy, no criminal record;
2. 我校正式学籍的本科生和硕士研究生，成绩优异；
Full-time undergraduate and graduate students, in good academic standing;
3. 具有较强的领导力，团队合作精神和调研能力，具备良好的英语表达和写作能力;
Strong leadership, teamwork spirit, and research ability, good English proficiency (speaking and writing);
4. 对活动主题有浓厚兴趣，有独立观点，且愿意与他人分享自己的观点；
Have a strong interest in the theme of the program, an independent thinker, and willing to interact with and present to others;
5. 具有较强的采访、拍摄、剪辑技能的学生优先考虑。
Applicants with strong interview, photography, video shooting and editing skills are preferred.
6. 能遵守项目时间及相关要求，按期参加项目
If selected, applicants should be able to participate into the program activities as scheduled and comply with the rules and regulations applicable to the Program.
五、相关费用 Program fees
本活动不收取任何费用，活动期间讲座费以及实地调研的交通、食宿、考察费均由活动组织方承担。个人开支自理。
No fees will be charged for the program. The organizer will cover the costs incurred for lectures, transportation, accommodation, and fieldtrips. Any incidental and personal expenses shall be borne by individuals.
