Recently, the Ministry of Education issued “the Decision on Approving the Awarded Projects of the National Level Teaching Result Prize in 2014” and announced the evaluation result of the 7th national level excellent teaching results.7 projects of XJTU got the national level teaching result prizes. The projects independently finished by the teachers of XJTU acquired one first prize and 4 second prizes of the national level teaching results and the projects finished by the participation of the teachers of XJTU got two second prizes of the national teaching results. The total number of the national-level teaching results got by XJTU ranked in front row.
The national level teaching result prize is the only national level award of China in the field of education. It represents the highest level of the teaching work of Chinese higher education and is the core indicator to display the teaching level and quality of universities. It is evaluated quardrennially. This year, 1320 national level teaching result prizes of China on basic education, professional education and higher education were evaluated, among which there were 452 national level teaching result prizes on higher education(2 special grade prizes,50 first prizes and 400 second prizes). “The Dream Factory of University Students’ independent Practice ’——the Construction of Engineering Workshop” managed and finished by professor Cheng Guangxu of XJTU got the first prize of the national levelteaching result. The 4 teaching projects including “The Innovation and Practice of Teachers ‘Training Model of Mathematics Course in Universities” managed and finished by academician Xu Zongben, “ The Numerical Control Technology Teaching System Reform and Practice that Faces Intelligent Manufacturing Demands” managed and finished by professor Mei Xuesong, “Creating the New Teaching System of Forensic Medicine with Chinese Characters and Training the Urgent Special Talent On Forensic Medicine” managed and finished by professor Li Shengbinand “The Training Model Reform and Practice of Industrial Engineering Talents Supported by Famous Teachers,Famous Teams, Famous Course and Famous Laboratories” managed and finished by professor Su Qin got the second prizes of the national level teaching results.
In recent years, XJTU firmly kept the central position of teaching work for undergraduates. It continually deepened education and teaching reform and explored education and teaching laws to finish the radical task talent training. Meanwhile, in order to stably upgrade education quality, XJTU enlarged the teaching awarding momentum, stimulated educational workers to actively conduct teaching research and enhance teaching practice. A big batch of excellent teaching results that were innovative, featured and had relatively strong demonstration and radiation roles emerged in XJTU. This fully showed that the great progress made by the teachers of XJTU in the teaching reform of higher education. It was also the central embodying of the school-running strength and teaching level in XJTU.
