On the afternoon of November 27, Intel Vice President Shelly Esque and her party visited XJTU, and were met by Vice President Lu Tianjian in room 101 of the Science Hall. Also participating in the meeting were Mr. Ge Jun, the managing director of Intel China, and the director of the Educational Affairs Department of Intel in China.
Vice President Lu gave the visitors an overview of the history of XJTU, with special attention to the development and current structure of its programs, and strongly endorsed the cooperation between the two universities.
Ms. Esque had high praise for the performance of the XJTU graduates who have worked and are working at Intel. She said she hoped that her visit would deepen the understanding between the two institutions, and would contribute to raising the current level of cooperation and exchange and to initiating new collaborative programs.
Following the meeting, Ms. Esque and her party visited the School of Electronic & Information Engineering where they met with both faculty members and students. Afterward, they also visited the Engineering Workshop.
