On the morning of January 18, XJTU Vice-President Jiang Zhuangde met with the Director of France’s ESIEE Paris (l'Ecole de l'innovation technologique), Dominique Perrin, at XJTU’s Science and Technology Park, where the two held discussions on possibilities for joint training programs.
At the end of the meeting, they signed a memorandum of cooperation between their two universities. Later, representatives of the two schools signed the agreement on jointly training talents.
During the meeting, Vice President Jiang presented a brief overview of XJTU’s cooperation programs with French universities. He gave particular attention to the progress of the current Sino-France “4+4” joint training program and said he hoped that XJTU might undertake more extensive cooperation and exchange with ESIEE Paris. Director Perrin in turn made a brief presentation on ESIEE Paris. The two parties exchanged their ideas on training schemes for exchange students.
Following the meeting, the visitors toured the National Key Laboratory for Manufacturing System Engineering.
