From March 1 to March 2, a three-member delegation from the Nuffield Medical Department of Oxford University, including the Head of Administration and Finance Darren Nash and Professor Dong Tao, visited the Department of Infectious Diseases of XJTU’s Second Hospital. After the brief welcome ceremony, Mr. Nash introduced the global academic cooperation and current exchange situation of Oxford University. The visit to Department of Infectious Diseases of the Second Hospital has created a new area for cooperation. Foreign students have been doing internships at the second hospital since the relationship was established. The director of the Infection and Immunology Center at Oxford University, Dong Tao has been to the department over ten times to guide the graduate students.
Dr. Jia Xiaoli from the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Second Hospital introduced the curriculum of the discipline and research in English.
Professor Dang Shuangsuo thanked professor Dong Tao for his academic guidance over the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Second Hospital for two years and he welcomed Darren Nash and his party to come on behalf of the discipline. He hoped that the department would deepen the cooperation with Oxford University and further upgrade the academic research level of the discipline.
