From March 18 to March 24, a delegation led by XJTU Chairman of University Board Prof. Wang Jianhua visited three distinguished universities in Singapore and Hong Kong.
On March 18, at the invitation of the president of National University of Singapore Tan Chorh Chuan, Chairman Wang and his party attended the “University Administration and Global Talent Management Seminar” sponsored by National University of Singapore. At the three-day long seminar, the representatives in attendance discussed topics such as the development trend of higher education, teacher development and employment, the talent training mode innovation and curriculum reform and the connection s between production, study and research. On the afternoon of March 21, the president of National University of Singapore Professor Tan Chorh Chuan met with Chairman Wang.
Chairman Wang also visited the Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University (NTU), where he met with the vice standing president and dean Dr. Mei Yanchang and visited the university’s Valens Research Center.
On March 22 and 23, Chairman Wang and his party visited Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where they met with President Chen Fanchang and chief vice president Shi Wei and visited the university’s library and laboratory.
