On the afternoon of October 23, Minister Sarah Taylor of the Canadian Embassy to China visited XJTU. President Zheng Nanning, Vice President Cheng Guangxu and the director of Department of the International Cooperation and Exchanges Dr. Liang Li met with the visiting guests in the 4th meeting room of the Main Building.
President Zheng Nanning welcomed Minister Taylor, and reviewed with her the recent exchange activities among Chinese and Canadian universities. He expressed his wish to intensify cooperation in the future. Minister Taylor thanked XJTU for its warm welcome and said that she would make every effort to promote cooperation between the Canadian universities and XJTU.
Later, Minister Taylor delivered a lecture in room 107 of the Science Hall. She spoke on a number of topics, including relationship between China and Canada, and the conditions of Chinese students in Canada.
