On November 8, a three-member delegation from Italy’s Politecnico di Milano, headed by the chair of the Department of Energy Conservation Professor Ennio Macchi, visited the XJTU-Hong Kong University of Science and Technology School of Sustainable Development where they led a seminar on the topic “Clean Coal Technologies” together with several professors from the School of Chemical Engineering.
The opening address at the seminar was delivered by Prof. Wu Jingshen, the chair of the organizing committee of the School of Sustainable Development and the dean of the School of Chemical Engineering. The professors from the two schools each gave a 20-minute speech, presenting their own research and results. Prof. Macchi reported on the latest research activities in the field of energy conservation. Professor Li Yun from the School of Chemical Engineering introduced the study on gas and multi-production systems and the integrated transfer and equipment analysis of the pressure energy of coal and chemical industry.
