On the morning of January 11, the Vice Rector for China of Polictecnico di Milano (the Milan University of Technology) Professor Giuliano Noci and his party visited XJTU to discuss possibilities for cooperation between the two universities in the fields of industrial design and intelligent electric networks. Party Secretary Wang Jianhua and Vice President Cheng Guangxu met with the visiting guests.
Party Secretary Wang said that the core of modern manufacturing was R&D and design and that he hoped that the two universities could collaborate on the development of a high-level platform to train qualified students in the field of design. Vice Rector Giuliano Noci agreed that R&D was the core issue in industrial design and he confirmed that Politecnico de Milano is very interested in collaborating with XJTU in the field of industrial design and intelligent electric network and he hoped to realize comprehensive cooperation through mutual deeper understanding.
Vice President Cheng Guangxu further elaborated on the value of the cooperation between the two parties in the field of industrial design with vice president Giuliano Noci.
