On October 15, Professor Björn Palm from the Department of Energy Technology, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, conducted a one-week academic exchange at XJTU and delivered a keynote speech Applications of Heat Pumps in Europe and China on ICCR 2015.

On the discussion session, professor Palm and professor Yu Jianlin introduced respectively the development and research strength of refrigeration discipline at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Xi’an Jiaotong University and set up seminars regarding low GWP refrigerants and low charge refrigeration systems and heat transfer in evaporation in narrow channels and compact heat exchangers.

During the visit, professor Palm also reached a preliminary intent on joint graduate training, joint research, and other follow-up opportunities.
