I-Shou University Vice President Li Liangjian Visits XJTU

In the afternoon of March 9, XJTU Vice President Xi Guang welcomed a delegation led by Li Liangjian, Vice President, I-Shou University, at meeting room 107 of the Science Building. The two parties exchanged views on the history, current developments and future cooperation between the two universities. Liang Li, director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, was also present at the meeting.

 

 

Li Liangjian pointed out that I-Shou University has made continued improvements in university development and ranking in recent years. The university has been dedicated to technology transformation and attached great importance to cooperation and exchange with universities from the mainland.

Xi Guang introduced the developments of XJTU over recent years. The core to university development should be talent development and contribution to the society, which is also the goal pursued by XJTU. In the process of striving for a a first-class university,XJTU has remained true to its original aspiration and strengthened and deepened cooperation with the government, and create greater value for the society. This is mainly reflected in its planning of and commitment to Western China Science & Technology Innovation Harbor. Xi’an is the city where the Silk Road started. Under the Belt and Road Initiative, XJTU has launched the University Alliance of the Silk Road, hoping all universities along the Silk Road to share educational resources.

 

 

Li Liangjian showed great interest in and recognition of the mission and goal of development of XJTU. He wanted to take this visit as an opportunity to say to XJTU and other universities and colleges in the mainland that I-Shou University is always open to and has best wishes for interactions and cooperation with all universities and colleges in the mainland. Xi Guang responded by welcoming I-Shou University to work with universities in the mainland and share all sorts of resources available in the thriving modernization of the country.
