Recently, Vice President Zheng Qinghua led a delegation to Thailand to attend the 41st Special Training Event on Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development held in Thailand for the first time, and visited the Chinese Association of Thai Students, the Chinese Embassy and Consulate in Thailand, the Bangkok Chinese Cultural Center and the Thai Ministry of Education to discuss and exchange special training on Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development and overseas personnel training.

On September 3, the opening ceremony of the 41st Special Training Course on Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development jointly organized by Xi'an Jiaotong University, UNESCO International Engineering Knowledge Center and Rangsit University(RSU), was held at RSU. Luo Tieying. President of the Association of Alumni Studying in China University in Thailand, vice president of RSU, Song Ruoyun, First Secretary of the education group of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand and others attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Vice President Zheng Qinghua delivered a speech on behalf of the school and a keynote speech entitled "IKCEST Silk Road Training Base：Cultivate Innovative Talents by Our Joint Effort of Connecting & Sharing".

Vice President Zheng Qinghua held talks with Ms. Lan Suhong, Counsellor of the Culture Department of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand at the Bangkok Chinese Culture Center. Lan expressed appreciation for Xi'an Jiaotong University's promoting friendly exchanges between the two countries and was willing to help schools set up training and publicity points at the Bangkok Cultural Center to expand their influence and boost the training of engineering science and technology knowledge to take root and grow in Thailand.

On September 4, Vice President Zheng Qinghua visited Thailand's Ministry of Education at the invitation of Thailand's Deputy Minister of Education. Thailand attaches great importance to personnel training for both sides and expresses its willingness to provide the necessary support Xi'an Jiaotong University's attempt to carry out overseas personnel training in Thailand to ensure that students from both sides to receive good education.

Relevant officials from the Continuing Education College, the Network Information Center and the Social Education Administration accompanied the visit.
