From June 4 to 7, under the China - Singapore University Student Exchange Planning,a delegation of Singapore's top students visited Xi'an Jiaotong University for a four-day and three-night exchange camp. The delegation was composed of outstanding university student representatives and teachers from Singapore National University, Singapore Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University and Singapore University of Science and Technology Design. Accompanied by Singapore Ministry of Education officials, the delegation visited China and conducted exchanges in Tianjin and Xi'an respectively.

The exchange camp was jointly attended by students' representatives from Xi'an Jiaotong University and Singapore students. At the beginning of the camp, college students from both China and Singapore started an ice-breaking journey through team games.

At the welcoming ceremony, the director of Xi'an Jiaotong University's International Cooperation and Exchange Office, He Changzhong, introduced Xi'an's ancient history and current development. Lu Peihua, head of the Singapore delegation and recalled his different feelings when he came to Xi'an 20 years ago and later.

In the following week, Singapore's teachers and students listened to lectures on Chinese culture and history, folk customs, poetry and traditional musical instruments, and visited Xi'an Jiaotong University campus, Qianqian Memorial Hall and Museum, They have personally experienced China's oldest rock music "Hua Yin Lao Qiang", shadow play and calligraphy. Xi'an Jiaotong University's rich event arrangements and the warm narration of Jiaotong University's story have enabled the delegation's teachers and students to have a deep understanding of Jiaotong University and its westward move spirit.
