From February 25 to March 3, ten students from Xi'an Jiaotong University's Gifted Young Class and Qian Xuesen Class were invited to Japan's Wakayama University for a week-long short-term science and technology exchange between Chinese and Japanese teenagers under the leadership of international organizations.

During the project, the delegation of Xi'an Jiaotong University visited the barrier-free smart car laboratory and artificial intelligence laboratory with the theme of scientific and technological exchanges, actively interacted with the professors and students of the laboratory on some research topics and experienced the auxiliary robots independently developed by Wakayama University.

At the same time, teachers and students of Xi 'an Jiaotong University intuitively understood more than 60 graduation publications of students from Wakayama University by observing the graduation research conference of students from the Department of Precision Materials of Wakayama University and observing the poster exhibition.

After a short week of rich academic and cultural exchanges, the teachers and students of the two universities have forged deep friendship and laid a good foundation for the two sides to further expand and deepen cooperation. The teachers and students of Xi'an Jiaotong University have learned the charm of Japanese traditional culture while understanding the development of Japan's cutting-edge science and technology.

The "Sakura Science and Technology Program" was initiated by 11 Japanese Nobel Prize winners and is an international exchange activity that Japan's Science and Technology Revitalization Agency ( JST ) fully funded short-term visits to Japanese schools, scientific research institutions, enterprises and other institutions by Asian teenagers, as well as full-scale scientific and technological exchanges with Japanese teenagers and scientists and researchers in various frontier fields, with a view to promoting Sino - Japanese youth exchanges and Sino - Japanese friendship.
