Xi'an Jiaotong University and University of Hong Kong jointly held the exchange project "Exploring the Starting Point of Silk Road - Cultural Chapter" recently. Twenty-one teachers and students from Hong Kong University visited Xi'an Jiaotong University.

The main purpose of this project activity is to understand and learn about Xi'an's traditional cultural heritage through lectures and practical research, and to increase Hong Kong students' knowledge of the Silk Road on land。

During the seven-day trip, the exchange team listened to a series of lectures such as "Overview of Shaanxi History and Culture", "Origin and Cultural Exchange of Silk Road" and "Silk Road" to help teachers and students of HKU understand silk road culture and Shaanxi culture in various ways. During the on-the-spot investigation and investigation of the project, teachers and students from Jiaotong University's Peng Kang Academy and HKU visited Qin Shihuang's Terracotta Warriors and Horses, all marveling at the magnificence of one of eight wonders of the world. They also went to yuanjiacun to experience the life of an ancient town. Everyone who visited Shaanxi History Museum was deeply immersed in the sea of history and culture and benefited greatly. In addition to the above, the exchange group also visited a series of places of interest such as Ganling, the Bell and Drum Tower, the city wall, the Forest of Steles Museum and so on. The teachers and students of the University of Hong Kong lamented the deep historical accumulation of Xi 'an and were deeply attracted by it. The trip will surely become a precious memory for everyone. During the whole project, the students of Hong Kong University were able to broaden their horizons, learn more about the motherland and understand the motherland more deeply through the research and investigation of the topics related to the Silk Road, all of which increased their understanding of the long history and culture of the motherland and the ever-changing understanding of the motherland.
